Hands-On Learning
| July 16th, 2009 | Reasons to Homeschool | No Comments »
Learning at home offers a child the opportunity everyday to experience more things hands on. Simple everyday tasks, such as cooking supper, offers an opportunity to teach a child about healthy eating. Instead of just reading in a text about how to prepare a well-balanced meal, the freedom and flexibility of homeschooling permits more hands on learning and participation that is not always feasible in a school setting. While learning about healthy food choices, this activity also allows for some close family time as well as s great sense of accomplishment and pride upon completion.
